Why are the calories for the food I entered so high?

It may be because you are the confusing weight and volume. When changing a default servings size, be careful to note the difference between the two. 1 cup in weight is equal to 8 oz., but 8 oz. of dry goods, like crackers for example, measured by volume would far exceed 1 cup. Use our portion guide for some helpful examples.
